The Isla Vista Surfrider is a branch of the Surfrider organization, which is a "nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the worlds ocean, waves, and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network." The Isla Vista chapter is completely student run!
By getting involved, you can protect our waves, coastlines, beaches, and support policy changes that lead to coastal victories. IV Surfrider hosts monthly beach cleanups to bring the community together and raise awareness about the pollution that is impacting our beaches.
